Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS)

A three-dimensional warehouse(The Stereoscopic Warehouse), also known as an automated warehouse (AS/RS, Automated Storage and Retrieval System), is a modern warehousing system that uses high-rise shelves, automated storage and retrieval equipment, and intelligent management systems to achieve high-density storage, precise management, and efficient flow of goods. Its core features include high space utilization, high levels of automation, and strong information management capabilities. It is widely used in manufacturing, logistics, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, and other industries.

    Description

    • Structure: Uses steel structure shelves, with heights typically ranging from 5 to 50 meters (and even higher), featuring densely packed storage locations.

•Stacker crane:- Aisle stacker crane: Moves within the warehouse aisle to store and retrieve goods (speed 1~3 m/s).- Mother-child vehicle system: Multiple stacker cranes work together to improve efficiency.

    • Shuttle:- Four-way shuttle: Can operate on both horizontal and vertical tracks for flexible storage and retrieval of goods.- Multi-level shuttle: Works with elevators to quickly transport goods within a three-dimensional space.

    • AGV/AMR: Used for automatic material transportation within warehouses, seamlessly integrating with high-rise storage systems.

    • Roller/belt conveyor lines: Connect inbound, outbound, and sorting areas.

    • Elevators: Achieve vertical transportation of goods between different floors or shelf levels.

    • WMS (Warehouse Management System): Manage inventory, optimize storage strategies (such as FIFO).

    • WCS (Equipment Control System): Schedule the operation of stacker cranes, shuttles, etc.
